Almost Blue
The album Almost Blue is the forgotten step-child of Before the Bomb Drops. An album that questions it's motives for you with tracks like "Tokyo", "Glass House", & "Devoted in Death".
A medley of stories, following along a Jazz singer who decides it's time to go the pop route. It's a slightly darker turn in an album Second Hand King describes as the B-Sides to Before the Bomb Drops with something a little extra added in.
At times personal like "Escape", "The Monster Sleeps", & "Dirt", and at times seemingly an escape for Second Hand King himself with the vast arrangement of stories throughout the album. Almost Blue is not an album to be taken lightly or maybe, that's the only way to take it.

A little insight to "Almost Blue"
"Coming off of "Before the Bomb Drops" which was an album that dealt with the end of the world concept, I wanted to change the pace a little bit and wanted to write something still concept based but dealing a little more with personal issues and a little darker. That's where "Almost Blue" came to be. The album loosely follows a failing jazz singer who decides to go pop and then realizes it's not all it's cracked up to be. Entwined with all of that are stories about people, friends and not -- who deal with their own "Almost Blue" scenario. My goal is to get this out of my system so I can work on the more Doo Wop / Rap style of music I've been working on"
